After high school graduation, I studied at both UMASS and the University of Oregon. Seven years later, I read in the Seattle Times that I had married Miss Carla Augustine (25) of Seattle, Washington. Some twenty years more, and it appears to still be the case. My parents still reside in Newton, although they sold the old house in Auburndale and moved to a smaller one in (Nonantum) Silver Lake. Except for my sister Theresa and myself, my other brothers and sisters are in N.E.

Being among the first METCO students introduced into Newton Public schools leaves me with fond memories and experiences that I will never forget. Rocket launches with our science teacher Mr. Kelley and White Elephant sales are just a few of the things that come to mind. I'll never forget the time when Tony Hall and I were caught during gym class repeating a chant we learned. It went something like this: I must I must I must This was uncommonly bold for 4th graders. Anyway, the teacher made us recite it in front of the entire gym class, while performing the exercise that provoked the silliness in the first place. After Williams elementary came Warren JHS and from there, I completed high school at Newton North HS in 1976. I was accepted at Northeastern University in '76 in pursuit of an Electrical Engineering degree, of which I finally did obtain in '82. In the latter years at Northeastern, I became active at a local church (New Covenant Christian Center) and gave my life to Christ. With renewed commitment to spiritual growth and development, my next endeavor was clear. I was soon married to a very special lady (Mary Alice) who (I am glad to say), I am still married after more than 20 years. How time flies when your having fun. No children yet, but we are working on it! In '87 we relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina. No particular reason other than I just got tired of the city. Charlotte seemed to work out even though I was looking to go elsewhere. They say Charlotte is a large city also, but it pales in comparison to Boston. To me, the whole city is a suburb. Some areas are nice, others not so nice, but a suburb non the less. There is still plenty of space to stretch out. Over the last 15 years we have remained active in our local church and many other extra curricular activities keep us busy. This past spring, I taught a Microprocessor course at a local community college. I might even do it again in the upcoming school year. Who knows, I might even be a father in the near future. Yes, I still play the drums, but mostly the saxophone these days. I have many things for which to be grateful. Good health and a great companion just to name a few. I trust all is well with all my former Williams School classmates and hope to see some of you again soon.

| After we moved from Auburndale in February 1970, I moved 3 more times
before I graduated from Foxcroft Academy in Dover-Foxcroft, ME. I started
college at Cedar Crest in Allentown, PA, but got sick and had to stay home
second semester. I transferred to Nasson College in Springvale, ME, where
I graduated with a BS in History. My first job brought me back to the Newton area. I was working in the library at Bentley College, in Waltham. After several years, I migrated north to southern NH, where I worked for a computer magazine, writing and editing. In 1985, I moved west to be with the man I am married to. I have also taught kids to read, but I am currently the secretary at a local elementary school. My husband is a transplant to this area, North Idaho, from outside St. Louis. We have been married for almost 15 years and have twin girls, Cristen & Denis, who are 12. To be sure, they keep us busy! Both are good students and play several sports at the club level. Although, I'll be on the east coast on the day of the Reunion, I doubt I'll make it, although I sure would like to see you all! It would involve a 12 hour drive for me to join you. I'll be thinking of you.
